About

Mission and Story

In the fall of 2001, a small group of members in Boise came together around a simple belief – by giving together they could make a greater impact in their community. Thirty-four motivated members joined during our inaugural year. Today, the membership of more than 400 has helped direct almost $7 million in giving across Idaho and beyond.

Giving Summary

Just as our organization has grown, so has our ability to make a difference. We have invested more than $3.8 million in 158 projects with our pooled-fund grants. The southwest Idaho region we fund extends north to McCall, west to the Oregon border and east to Gooding.

IWCF’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Statement reaffirms our commitment to our community

We believe diversity encompasses the whole human experience: culture, skills, education, economic status, age, race, gender identity, sexual identity, abilities, religion, life experiences, and more. These result in the unique perspectives and differences that, when used collectively, can amplify IWCF’s impact. Inclusion is crucial to our work and helps us better understand, connect with, and serve our community. We listen to our members and community nonprofits, aspire to eradicate barriers to success, and recognize our role in creating more equitable opportunities in membership and grant giving so our Idaho communities thrive.

Ways to Give

A gift to IWCF supports a legacy of collective impact, empowering members to invest in the causes that strengthen our community now and into the future.
